Praise Akanimo has had his voyage experience as a seaman who fictionally tries to run away from the call and purpose of God in his life, which is to be a singer and a preacher. During his days as a seafarer, the experiences told of him will sure give you the conviction that God really had a message for the world through him . His background had so many uncertainties, though born of a Christian home, a not wealthy but comfortable family, he worked his way and became a maritime personnel. Notwithstanding, his talent and call as a song writer and preacher of the word still called out to him like the popular bible passage “deep calleth unto deep” thereby leading him to birth “Before I’m There” a song that acknowledges Gods omnipotence and omnipresence in the affairs of men. His choice of words/lyrics employed in presenting the piece brings you the listener into his world of experience thereby connecting with your personal experiences. It makes you feel like the one talking and gives you a different perspective of the person of God and how you could have a more viable and personal relationship with him(GOD).

Listen to this great artistic composition of our time best described as a masterpiece by many who have had the privilege to be at the craftsman’s house Final Mix Studios under the intellectual crafting of the prolific chief craftsman King baseda who produced the piece. Praise Akanimo the writer, composer and performer of the newest hymn “Before I’m There”. He is a preacher, a seafarer, a man anointed for the generation. I present to you the rave of the moment Praise akanimo

Lyrics – Before I’m There

Verse 1

I thought that I could hide…

I thought that I could go from your presence

I didn’t know you’re every where

Your eyes go through all the earth

So I ran to hide myself in there…

There the raging storm was so high

Cos you cast the lot at me oh lord

And whispered son! I need you to go

Chorus

There’s nothing hidden from you lord…

Seeing your eyes go through all the earth

There’s no where I would go to hide my whole being

Before I’m there… You’re already there!

Verse 2

I didn’t know what you meant for my life

I didn’t know what the mandate would be

I thought that I could let go this course

But you sat and watched in silent at me

So I ran to hide myself in there…

There the raging storm raised so high

Cos you cast the lot at me oh lord

And whispered son! I need you to go

Chorus

There’s nothing hidden from you lord…

Seeing your eyes go through all the earth

There’s no where I would go to hide my whole being

Before I’m there… You’re already there!

If I go to the North…go to the South,

East…West or Mountains to hide my whole being

If I go to the valley or jump into the Ocean like Jonah…

I thought that I could run…

I thought that I could hide…

Chorus

There’s nothing hidden from you lord…

Seeing your eyes go through all the earth

There’s no where I would go to hide my whole being

Before I’m there… You’re already there!

There’s no where I would go to hide my whole being…

Before I’m there… You’re already… there.
