A Muslim Doctor recently left a young Christian patient – sanitary worker who fell unconscious due to suffocation while cleaning a drain to die because he was “unclean” in a town of Umerkot in the Sindh province Pakistan.
The sanitary worker who was later identified has Irfan Masih was said to have fallen unconscious due to suffocation while cleaning a drain, He was later pronounced death during the process of cleaning the filth from his body because the doctor refused to touch his dirty body as they were fasting.
Municipality workers and local Christians staged a demonstration with the victim’s body outside the local press club. The victim’s father has filed a police complaint against the doctors.
While speaking to newsmen, the mother of the deceased, Irshad Masih, said:“The doctors refused to treat him because they were fasting and said my son was ‘napaak [unclean].”
Speculations say that other than the fact that the sanitary worker was unclean, the doctor may have left him because he was a Christian as well.
