Osinaike Oluseyi (Shay E) is a Nigerian rapper/ songwriter, and a student of the University of Lagos. Shay E started writing rap music at the age of 14 and released his debut single titled “I’m Blessed” on August 1st 2013. The track was produced by Adegbite Ademola (Kannon), an engineering student of the same University. His sophomore single was titled “Drifting” premiered on Rhythm 93.7 and was featured on New H2o, an international hip hop blog as well as a handful of Nigerian blogs.
On January 3rd 2015 Shay E had his first major performance at the Silverbird Galleria Victoria Island, Lagos. It was a live music concert dubbed, “Plugged In”, and was hosted by the Christian radio magazine show Holy Holla. Prior to this, the rapper had performed at his local church on a couple of occasions and also at various events in Lagos.
The promotional single titled Vybez is Shay E’s most recent work and was produced by Ogebeats. The track is a harmonious fusion of hip hop and dancehall music with witty lyrics and a catchy tune.
