Since the release of the new single “Nara” by Gospel music sensation Tim Godfrey featuring American Gospel artiste Travis Greene, the song has been trending on many platforms. It was the number one trending song on Youtube, earlier in the week, ahead of Falz and Olamide very popular new releases. It was also the number one song on iTunes in Nigeria and Ghana.
Now “Nara” has crossed the threshold of a million views on Youtube in just 10 days!
Sharing the testimony behind the song, Tim Godfrey talked about how as a little child, he had to hawk many items to survive. His parents couldn’t even afford to put him and his 6 other siblings in school.
“You know why I wrote and sing this song is… this Tim Godfrey you see here, back in the days, I hawked all kinds of things. My mum is here… bananas, groundnuts, everything… we couldn’t even afford to go to secondary school or university. It was so bad that… at some point… we lived in this particular room, 7 children, both parents… and the moment you open the door, the first thing you will see is pee…” Tim Godfrey shared.
