– Bishop Oyedepo, Atiku Abubakar meet with Olusegun Obasanjo behind closed doorThe General Overseer of the Living Faith Church aka Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo; Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah and Kaduna-based Islamic preacher Ahmed Gumi were all at the closed door meeting between former President Olusegun Obasanjo and the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar on Thursday.
Atiku Abubakar, visited his erstwhile boss, ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, in Abeokuta, Ogun State, and the presence of Bishop Oyedepo, who has been strongly against the government of President Muhammadu Buhari, especially after the spate of killings by Fulani Herdsmen increased, has met with mixed reaction online.
While some applauded the Bishop for not pretending about his political stand, others criticized him.
See some of the reactions:
I like Pastor Oyedepo cause you know where he stands in political matters. Not pretentious about what he believes in at all. I like that. That’s the kind of pastor I’d listen to. Not a dilly dallying pastor that plays to the gallery.
