1. All That Matters – Minister GUC

Released at the wake of the new year, “All That Matters” by Minister GUC, off the stable of EeZee Conceptz Global, has ganered over 27 million views and also attracted thousands of covers, even from notable and fast rising Gospel music ministers. It was included in the recently released album “The Message.”

2. Waymaker – Sinach

Although, “Waymaker” was released on the 30th of December, 2015, it became overwhelmingly sensational during the lockdown that followed the global pandemic breakout. Forbes named it the go-to song of the pandemic. Many institutions and retreats made use of the song for their social media expression.

Sinach went on to win the Dove Awards for writing the song, having gained covers from the likes of Michael W. Smith, LeeLand, Darlene Zschech & William McDowell, amongst others. Definitely, Sinach earned a seat for “Waymaker” amongst Nigerian Gospel music 2020.

3. Capable God – Judikay

“Capable God” is off the November 2019 debut album “Man of Galiliee,” off the EeZee Conceptz Global label. The song caught on and went viral through TikTok, and EeZee Conceptz has gone on to complement its success with the release of the video which has become the Toast of Gospel TV, Trace. Furthermore, the video, released October 25 has gathered over 1.5million views on Youtube.

4. Fragrance To Fire – Dunsin Oyekan

“Fragrance to Fire” by Dunsin Oyekan was an unusual worship when it was released. Very revelational, illuminating the wonders of worship and many caught the revelation. This led to the success and popularity of the single amongst Christians. Dunsin had quite a successful year with back-to-back hit, we can’t wait to see what the year 2021 has got in stock!

5. Omeriwo – Sammie Okposo

Sammie Okposo released at least 7 singles this year. The singles are forerunner for his forthcoming album. “Omeriwo” featuring Henrisoul and Mercy Chinwo stands out amongst these releases for its trendy Afrobeat style.

6. Fix My Eyes On You – Ada Ehi (Feat. Sinach)

When Ada Ehi announced her collaboration with Sinach, many looked forward to the release of one of the biggest collaborations in Nigerian Gospel Music 2020. Sinach rarely features on music projects but the release of “Fix My Eyes On You” was certainly a rare occasion. We were not disappointed when the single dropped as it was worth the hype.

7. Bigger Everyday – Moses Bliss

Just like the name of the song, the single infiltrated mildly but got bigger everyday, climbing to the top of the IACMP’s Official Nigerian Top 10 Gospel Music Countdown in the month of September 2020.

8. Na You Dey Reign – Mercy Chinwo

“Na You Dey Reign” was the first official single off Mercy Chinwo‘s “Satisfied” album. The track caught on immediately due to it’s Afrobeat infused Contemporary Praise rhythm. Mercy shot a number of clips for social media with the singles off the album and they all went viral.

9. Onye Inaputara – Yadah

“Onye Inaputara” is Yadah‘s follow-up single after the very successful “Beyond Me”. The single spent 2 months at the top of the IACMP’s Official Nigerian Top 10 Gospel Music Countdown in the month of June and July, 2020.

10. Okay – Limoblaze (Feat. Ada Ehi)

It’s been a great year for Limoblaze, following the announcement of his various international collaborations, including the release of the collaborative album with American Christian rapper Da’ TRUTH, Limoblaze jumped into the booth with Gospel music sensation Ada Ehi and 2 tracks were the result of that session. One of the tracks is “Okay.”
