Way Maker by sinach official video, hits two hundred million (200,000,000) views on a popular video streaming platform, YouTube.
The song was released on the 30th of December 2015, But undoubtedly became the biggest hit in the Christian music world in 2020.
She stated that Way Maker was inspired by the help of the Holy Spirit as she was meditating on a Bible verse (Genesis 12:1-5).
She wrote the song to strengthen up many Christians according to the Bible verse. the song became so popular around 2020, was also translated into several languages.
During the lockdown, many gospel artiste like Michael W. Smith, Mandisa, Leeland, Christafari, Passion, Darlene Zschech and Bethel Music, did a cover of it.
Way Maker was nominated and won the Dove Award Song of the Year at the 51st GMA Dove Awards in the United States.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic started in the spring of 2020, Way Maker has been shown and played in hospitals, parks, and many other public areas, often with large groups of people singing the song together to spread hope and encouragement to others.
Sinach Way Maker also won the BMI Song of the Year; a first for an African Gospel song.
Sinach was also invited to Joel Olsteen’s church in Houston, Texas, to sing the song live, and she has traveled all over the world to perform the hit song Way Maker
