– M.I.A Gets Born Again After Experience With Jesus Christ
American rapper Mathangi Maya Arulpragasam, popularly known as M.I.A has declared that she is now a christian and born again, after an experience with Jesus Christ. She talked about how proud she is and won’t look back on how it might end up affecting her career.
In an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music, the American rapper revealed she had already seen a vision of Jesus Christ in 2017 and how the vision she saw disorganized her entirely. She said the vision brought about a conviction in her heart, to change her ways to become a christian and submit to Jesus, despite years of struggling with it.
“Since then, my head has been in a totally different place. Being a Tamil and being a Hindu, I was very comfortable that I’d arrived finding myself. Which is, I think, going to be weird for America to process,” she told Lowe of her divine vision. “But I had a vision and I saw the vision of Jesus Christ.”
“It’s very creatively a crazy thing because it turned my world upside down,” she continued. “Because everything I thought and believed was no longer the case. And I think that was maybe a sign that something major was going to happen in the world and that people were needing to be introduced to this concept.”

M.I.A was banned in the year 2006 from entering the U.S, she was supposedly alleged for supporting a group which in the U.S is regarded as a terrorist group. And also deprived entry into the country for her supports towards a Sri Lankan group called the Tamil Tigers.
The rapper, during an interview, stated that before her experience with Jesus, she had always found the word Christianity to be “basic.”
Lowe asked her if she was now a born-again Christian. The artist responded, “Yes, I am.”
“I’m not going to lie. Then when I had this vision, it turned my world upside down. I kind of couldn’t let go of the Tamil side,” she revealed.
M.I.A who is preparing a new release album tiled “Mata” also has her first single, “The One” pouring out everywhere. She said she hasn’t changed her style of music which has been influenced by her upbringing, but her message would be instructed by her Christian faith.
“I’m still me. That’s still my language. And those are still my tools to be able to create beats like that or a sound like that,” she explained. “But I think the message was just to get to a peaceful place. Watch the space. The history is, even if it costs me my career, I won’t lie. I will tell the truth, and I will tell you what’s on my mind and my heart.”
“If I’m coming back now saying ‘Jesus is real,’ there’s a point,” the rapper declared.
“Basically, all of my fans might turn against me because they are all progressives who hate people that believe in Jesus Christ in this country,” she added.
Hi.
Big fan of MIA.
Would be grateful if someone in private or commenting on her posts (miamatangi instagram) could help say that what she has joined is very anti-Christian. Her manager is the same as Shenseea, for a company called Salxo who made her song Lick, and made Doja Cat. And MIA was always critical of the mainstream industry … If you look at their respective pages MIA’s there.
Thank you
