– Creflo Dollar apologizes for tithe teachings from the past and makes corrections
US clergyman Creflo Dollar has apologized and corrected his teachings on tithe. The pastor who has preached for so many years on the necessity to pay tithe and also said failing to comply would cause devourer to come into their life and destroy them has now said he would be correcting that doctrine in a couple of series.
While addressing his congregation, he stated he was still growing as a preacher and made a request to his members, urging them destroy every of his teachings in the aspect of tithes and offerings that does nor align with the teaching he was about to unfold. He emphasized that some of those teachings were not scriptural.
“The teachings that I have shared in the time past on the subject of tithing were not correct and today I stand in humility to correct somethings that I have taught for years and believed for years but could never understand it clearly because I have not yet been confronted with the gospel of grace which has made the difference,” he said.

“I have no shame at all saying to you, throw away every book, tape and video I ever did on the subject of tithing..unless it alines with this.”

He also added that running religion runs on two things. Either fear or guilt and if there is something he has seen passed on to the church to keep the people in fear, it is the subject of tithing.
