– Lawyer Appears Court In Pastoral Robe After Colleague Stormed In Juju Outfit
A drama was staged in Ogbaru Local Government Area, in Anambra State, as a Nigerian lawyer named Ogbachalu Goshen appears in court on July 1, 2022 before the Okpoko Magistrate Court in pastoral robe.
The magistrate, CB Mbaegbu, refused to hear him because he was not properly attired, which led to a minor incident in the court. Despite this, the lawyer refused to accept and insisted he must be heard after the magistrate gave female students the backing to wear hijab in public schools as a precedent.
The lawyer also reminded the court that it was his right and that the court’s objection violated his fundamental human right.

The magistrate, disagreed with him, leaving him without a choice than to dismiss the court.
Justifying his actions, the lawyer said the incident had already become a constitutional matter since the Supreme Court’s ruling that allows the use of hijab in public schools and facilities.
He was also asked whether the ruling is in the best interest of the judiciary, he said that for now, it remains a precedent that must be obeyed unless there is a judicial review.
