–Events That Shaped The Year 2022 Which Will Excite You
Here are the some Gospel events witnessed in the course of the year, which shaped the year 2022. Our hearts goes out to the family of legendary Gospel music minister Sammie Okposo, a part of the SelahAfrikan family, who passed unto glory in the later part of the year.

1. DEBORAH SAMUEL KILLED OVER ALLEGED BLASPHEMY
The death of the young lady, Deborah raised a lot of eyebrows as she killed over alleged blasphemy.
She was accused of blasphemy in a voice note she dropped on her class WhatsApp platform, in which she was alleged to have blasphemed Prophet Muhammad.
Her father, Emmanuel said he was in Sokoto when the unfortunate incident happened and that he witnessed the murder of his daughter
Despite her death, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere gave Deborah’s parent job and sponsored her siblings education. They now live happily ever after.
2. THE OUTPOURING
The Outpouring is a worship and prayer crusade hosted by gospel minister, Dunsin Oyekan. It’s a coming together of youths to encounter God and be equipped to live for the kingdom of God.
This years Outpouring took place in both the city of Abuja and Ilorin, Kwara State.
The crusade saw faces of anointed men like Dr. Paul Enenche, Pastor Nathaniel Bassey and women of God and Gospel ministers such as Bukola Bekes, Apostle Michael Orokpo, Pastor Elijah Oyelade, Daniel Olawande and more.
“The Outpouring” features worship, prayers and the word amongst other soul-lifting Gospel events.
3. MERCY CHINWO’S WEDDING
Nigerian gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo & Hubby, Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa of Water Brooks Church tied the knot on August 13th 2022
Recalling that the couple earlier held their traditional wedding marriage ceremony in Port Harcourt on 18th July 2022. And as also sealed their union with a court wedding.
The high profile ceremony had friends, family, colleagues, and celebrities such as Banky W, Adesua Etomi-Wellington, Moses Bliss, Waje, Joe Praize, Pita Sings, and Many others in attendance.
A very big congratulations to them once again.
4. OWO (ONDO STATE) MASSACRE
Many were left downcast after the tragic event that occurred at St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo, Ondo State, seeing more than 40 worshipers die, and many others seriously injured.
The worshippers were attacked by gunmen during mass.
The remains of the dead, which were deposited at the morgue of the St Louis Catholic Hospital in Owo, were laid for the mass at the Mydas Event Centre in the town.
May the lord continue to comfort each of the victims family, Amen
5. THE EXPERIENCE 17TH EDITION
The Experience is a concert which is hosted by the founder and senior pastor of house on the rock, pastor Paul Adefarasin at the tafawa Balewa square, lagos. Nigeria.
The 2022 edition of the concert featured local and international artists such as Nathaniel Bassey, Sinach, Dunsin Oyekan, Travis Greene, Moses Bliss, Mercy Chinwo and many more.
The Experience is recognised as the biggest Gospel concert in Nigeria and Africa.
It was really a great experience and a good moment to end the year.

6. SAMMIE OKPOSO PRAISE PARTY LONDON & LAGOS
Nigerian Gospel artiste Sammie Okposo’s praise party was a mind blowing concert this year which lifted to many souls in the UK and here in his hometown Delta, Nigeria.
This years edition returned with hot Gospel artistes who excited all the people across both events.
This year’s edition saw Frank Edwards, The Phenomenal Michael Stuckey, Ayo Vincent and many others present.
It was really a good atmosphere of praise and worship unto God.
Moreover, Sammie Okposo’s burial arrangement was a week-long event that started with a farewell concert and culminated in the outing at The Logic Church in Lekki, from Tuesday 13th to Sunday 19th of December 2022.
7. THE BLISS EXPERIENCE WITH MOSES BLISS
The Bliss Experience is a powerful a mind blowing experience that featured Gospel artiste such as Frank Edwards, Ada Ehi, Tim Godfrey, Steve Crown, Freke Umoh, Samsong, Eben, Joe Praize, Chiona jesus, Solomon Lange and other anointed ministers.
The Bliss Experience also featured the release of his debut album “Too Faithful” and the unveiling of an ultra-modern studio.
8. EeZee Conceptz Unveils Luxury Ultra-Modern Facility
EeZee Conceptz earlier this year, unveiled a ultra-modern facility which features the studios, offices and other sectors. He also unveiled new book.
Present for the Gospel events include Iconic Nollywood actor and producer Hilda Dokubo, Gospel Reggae legend Buchi, CEO of Honesty Missions, Mr Anthony Umeh, EeZee Conceptz Global artistes Chidinma, Great Daniel, Judikay and Minister GUC. Also Tehila Records CEO Tim Ogboruche and Enkay Ogboruche.
Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of Commonwealth of Zion (COZA) also made a special appearance. He blessed and launched the book alongside other men of God present at the event.
9. CECE WINANS MAKES HISTORY AT DOVE AWARDS 2022
CeCe Winans made Dove Awards history this year as the first Black female solo artist to win Artist of the Year.
The multi-Grammy-winning gospel singer became the first African American female solo artist to be named Artist of the Year at the Dove Awards, after winning Artist of the Year and Song of the Year for her No. 1 Billboard hit, “Believe for It.”
Currently, Winans has 15 Grammys and 25 Doves, with her latest win making Dove Award history.
10. NATHANIEL BASSEY LEADS JESUS CHALLENGE
Veteran gospel artiste, pastor and songwriter, Nathaniel Bassey went viral after taking to his social media page, and urging others to join him in his “JESUS” challenge, on Tuesday, the 7th of June 2022.
The Jesus challenge was on all his social media platform across the country, bringing fellow gospel artiste and pastors to also join the challenge.
Nathaniel Bassey, made his intention known by revealing the trend was to proclaim the name of Jesus in the land, due to political unrest and the presidential primary elections which was in view.
