– Soun Of Ogbomosho Steps Down As Pastor Of RCCG Jesus House Parish
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Enoch Adeboye, has asked newly appointed Soun Of Ogbomosho and pastor, Ghandi Laoye to step down and hand over his role, in order to focus on his new assignment.
The Soun-elect, whose letter was approved by Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, was the Pastor-in-Charge of RCCG Jesus House Parish, Washington DC, United States of America.
Laoye will succeed Oba Jimoh Oyewumi, Ajagungbade III, who joined his ancestors in December 2021 at 95 after reigning for 48 years.
Ghandi Laoye was also anointed by his co-pastors alongside his successor in the parish, Pastor Olumide Ogunjuyigbe, during his last service as the leading pastor of the church.
Speaking after the prayer and anointing session, the newly Soun Of Ogbomosho appointed monarch revealed that he was instructed by the General Overseer of the RCCG Worldwide, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, to hand over to Ogunjuyigbe, so as to focus on his new assignment.
The RCCG Jesus House Parish, on its Facebook page, said;
“Pastor Ghandi passed on the baton of leadership to Pastor Olumide. Congratulations on this new journey Pastor Olumide. We know that the eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man what God will do through you! As God was with Pastor Ghandi, so shall He be with you.
