– Pastor Adeboye Launches Dove F.C For Youth Empowerment Through Sport
Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has launched Dove FC, a football club aimed at guiding Nigerian youth away from criminality and providing them with opportunities for personal and professional growth.
The unveiling took place at the Redeemed Camp in Lagos State, where young players between the ages of 16 and 21, chosen from all six regions of Nigeria, were introduced.
During the event, Pastor Enoch Adeboye emphasized the importance of placing service to God above material pursuits. He stated, “Winning is by God’s divine power and not by human might. To be a winner, you must have God by your side,” inspiring the players to embrace their faith as they pursue their sporting ambitions.
Dove FC is an innovative initiative by the RCCG, combining sports and spirituality to engage young people and foster holistic development. The club aims to instill values of discipline, teamwork, and moral character in its players, preparing them for potential careers in professional football. The establishment of Dove FC represents the church’s commitment to empowering youth and guiding them towards a brighter future.
