-Denzel Washington Gets Baptized & Receives Minister’s License
Denzel Washington recently celebrated a significant moment in his spiritual journey. The 69-year-old actor, known for his role in Gladiator II, was baptized on Saturday, December 21, at Kelly Temple Church of God in Christ in Harlem, New York.
During the service, Washington was baptized, and also presented with a minister license, which will allow him to be ordained in the future.

When he was handed the microphone to reflect on the momentous occasion, Washington acknowledged officially claiming his faith community at his age: “In one week I turn 70,” he said. “It took a while, but I’m here.”

“If God can do this for me, there’s nothing He can’t do for you,” Washington said. “The sky literally is the limit.”
