Wonders Chapel pastor, Bayo Oluwayemi, has advised members to prioritize family over church obligation.
According to the clergyman, he spoke on the importance of prioritising essential expenses over discretionary giving.
While preaching recently, he encouraged people to be thoughtful while trying to give towards church and consider their financial responsibilities.
He urged his congregation to ensure their family’s needs are met before making church financial decisions.

The cleric said; “If your children school fees is due, don’t bring money to church, don’t mortgage your children future. That’s what religion does, it put you under rules, it puts you into slavery.
“If you don’t pay tithe God will not bless you’, whereas your children school fees is due and the devil will continue to deceive you. is it God that needs the money or the church. I want to let you know, if your children school fees is due, don’t bring money to church, don’t sell your children future. They’ve given you the mindset of curse.
” So on Monday you go to shop and somebody buys something from you and you don’t know where you place the money, and your heart goes to condemnation, ‘it’s because I didn’t pay tithe’, that is how manipulation comes”.
