-Joel Ogebe Rejects Honorarium from Pastor Paul Adefarasin
Prophet Joel Ogebe of House of Salem has sparked conversation across social media about his recent ministration at The Experience at The Rock (TAPE), hosted by Pastor Paul Adefarasin of House on the Rock Church.
In a statement shared on his social platform, Ogebe disclosed that he burnt the cheque given to him as an honorarium by the church after his session.
“After I ministered, they gave me a cheque. I didn’t return it. I didn’t tear it. I burnt it,” he said.

Ogebe, known for his passion for spiritual integrity, explained that his message at TAPE was deeply rooted in repentance and calling the church back to its core mission. He said he believed accepting a financial reward for such a word would have contradicted the very essence of his message.
“I couldn’t preach repentance and then turn around to collect a reward for it,” he added.
