-David Crowder Requests For Prayer After ‘Emergency Surgery’
Grammy-nominated and Dove Award winning Christian singer, David Crowder recently shared that he’s recovering from emergency surgery after breaking his leg, a setback that has forced him to cancel upcoming performances.
In an Instagram post, Crowder humorously acknowledged his own limitations; “I’m not near as athletic as I thought I was, I’ve broken my leg and had to have emergency surgery including some plates and screws.” He also reassured fans, saying, “I’m on the mend and we will figure out how to get back there as soon as we can! Thanks so much for the prayers.”
One of the shows affected was a scheduled performance at the Appalachian Fair in Gray, Tennessee, set for mid-August.

The outpouring of support from fellow Christian artists and fans was immediate. Pastor Jonathan Pokluda commented, “Praying brother! I’m so sorry!”
