Gospel singer Joyce Ochelle returns with her powerful new single titled “The Great I Am.” Featuring the highly esteemed Pastor Mrs. Meque Eunice Bako of RCCG Victory Assembly, Sheffield, this soul-stirring release marks Joyce’s fifth single. It continues her mission of exalting God through anointed worship and lyrical depth.
A two-time nominee for “Song of the Year” on the UK Christian Charts, Joyce Ochelle has also received multiple international nominations, including three from the Texas Gospel Music Excellence Awards (USA) for “International Female Soloist of the Year.” She was honored as “Top Benue Gospel Artist of the Year” at the ISADA Awards in Benue State, Nigeria. Having sung in church since childhood, Joyce continues to serve faithfully as Music Director in her local choir while creating music that inspires, uplifts, and draws listeners into God’s presence.
The song was inspired during a very difficult personal ordeal, after Joyce received a prophetic word to fast, pray, and await a song from the Holy Spirit. Though reluctant to write a Song, she obeyed, fasted, and prayed, and through this obedience, she received “The Great I Am,” a declaration of God’s sovereignty that brought her healing and peace.
Despite further intense trials, she completed the song by God’s grace.
The song aims to uplift and strengthen believers’ faith in God’s unchanging goodness and power.
She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geography from Benue State University, Nigeria, and a Master’s Degree In Corporate Communication and Public Affairs from The Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, United Kingdom.
Her parents are Pastor James and Pastor Mrs Elizabeth Idoko. She is married to Gabriel Ochelle, and together they have two lovely children.
