-Pastor Killed And Worshippers Abducted As Bandits Hit Church
A service in Kwara State turned tragic after armed bandits raided a local church, as the pastor was killed and worshippers abducted.
In a video of the incident seen, the worshippers gathered for an ongoing service when gunshots rend the air.
The pastor, who sustained gunshot injuries while attempting to protect members, was rushed to a nearby hospital where he is currently receiving treatment.
Community members described the attack as terrifying, noting that families have been thrown into distress as they await information about their loved ones.

Security operatives have since been deployed to the area, and a manhunt for the attackers is underway.
Local leaders are calling on both state and federal authorities to strengthen security in rural communities, especially places of worship that have increasingly become targets.
The Commissioner of Police, Adekimi Ojo, confirmed the attack. He said the community came under attack but that security operatives repelled the bandits.
“Yes the community is under attack. I am presently in touch with my DPO and we learnt it was repelled immediately but one person was killed. That’s all I can say for now”, he added.
