– Pastor David Ibiyeomie Queries DSS Over Oyo School Kidnapping
The founder and presiding pastor of Salvation Ministries, David Ibiyeomie, has alleged that some politicians may be behind the abduction of school children in parts of the country.
Speaking during a church service, Ibiyeomie expressed concern over the recurring incidents of kidnappings involving students and questioned why those responsible had not been identified and prosecuted.
The cleric suggested that influential individuals could be sponsoring some of the criminal activities, arguing that the persistent nature of the attacks raises serious questions about those funding and coordinating them.

He also challenged the Department of State Services (DSS) and other security agencies to intensify efforts towards uncovering the masterminds behind the abductions and bringing them to justice.
According to Ibiyeomie, security agencies possess intelligence-gathering capabilities that should make it possible to identify those responsible for financing and supporting criminal operations across the country.
The pastor lamented the trauma experienced by affected families and communities, noting that the continued targeting of schools poses a serious threat to education and national development.
He called on the government and security agencies to take stronger measures to protect school children and ensure that educational institutions remain safe for learning.
