Social networking platform received its latest addition on Saturday as Pope Francis joins Instagram with the handle Franciscus.
His first post “Pray for me” was written in nine different languages. He said that he was “beginning a new journey to walk with you along the path of mercy and the tenderness of God.”
Pope Francis appearance on Instagram joins his Twitter presence, where he has close to 9 million followers. He joined on saturday and as at this today, Monday, the Pope already hit 1.5 million followers with just 5 posts.
