There is probably no other best way to describe “East Wind”, a new Gospel reggae track performed by St. Greg with the sensational New Waves, also known as the Dready Boys in the early 90s.

“Best Songs Are In The Church” is an inscription at the tail end of the beautiful “East Wind” video directed by one of the best music film director, Cyril Dova. Surely, “East Wind” can today stand as an authority in the gospel reggae music around the world. And not only that it has a perfect rhythm & melody to dance to, it is a gospel song that unveils the reality of the activity of the Holy Spirit & puts a spring on the steps of every Christian, knowing that Christianity is not a mere religion but a life full of completeness, fulfillment, righteousness, peace & joy in the Holy Ghost.

St. Greg was formerly the lead singer of an award winning group, the New Waves in the 90s, with whom their debut album “Yardstick” took the world of reggae music by storm. Then, shortly after such a huge success, little or nothing was heard of the group, blamed on the insensitive approach of their recording/management company, spiced with the rumors the death of the youngest/lead singer, Greg Thompson, today known as St. Greg.

Their millions of fans around the world had given up hope of seeing them again together as a group after about 3 decades away from active music. But the scripture records that “whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world….” And today, this scripture is fulfilled!
