– Kanye West get a Nomination For 2020 BET Gospel Award – Kirk Franklin, Fred Hammond, The Clark Sisters gets nods too
Kirk Franklin, Kanye West, Fred Hammond and others have been nominated for the 2020 BET awards in the “Best Gospel/Inspirational” category.
The BET Awards is an American award show that was established in 2001 by the Black Entertainment Television network to celebrate African Americans and other American minorities in music, acting, sports, and other fields of entertainment over the past year.
This year’s BET which is set to hold online due to Corona Virus outbreak will air live on June 28 across ViacomCBS networks, including CBS for the first time. Veteran gospel artist, Kirk Franklin who already has 12 BET nominations and 3 wins leads the gospel category with his nomination coming from his hit single “Just For Me”, then Kanye West for “Follow God”, Fred Hammond for “Alright”, The Clark Sisters for “Victory”, while John P. Kee and PJ Morton also got the nod for “I Made It Out” and “All In His Plans” respectively.
The nominations are selected by BET’s Voting Academy, which is composed of fans and an esteemed group of entertainment professionals in the fields of television, film, music, social media, digital marketing, sports journalism, public relations, and creative arts.
