Bishop TD Jakes, Pastor Adeboye, Pastor Sam Adeyemi support EndSARS Protest to end police brutality
The ongoing EndSars movement has seen Gospel personalities within Nigeria and diaspora, also foreigners from all across the globe lending their voice to the movement that has been met by strong opposition by the government.
The protest has continued despite the fact that the government announced that it has conceded and will implement the people’s demand but the youths are clamoring for immediate effecting.
These has been met by strong but salient opposition by the government resulting in ProSARS actions such as more police brutality and armed thugs disrupting protest all over the nation.

Lending a voice to the #EndSARS protest, Bishop TD Jakes posted a meme that reads “Nigerian Lives Matter… End SARS,” and complemented it with a quote from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr:

Gospel music icon Kirk Franklin said the Nigerian youths have stood with him for over 20 years and in these times, he is standing with the youths of Nigeria.
He posted a picture from the protest ground on Instagram and ended his caption with the #EndSarsNow hashtag.
“For over 20 years, Nigeria has stood with me, now I stand with you✊🏾. #endsarsnow”
Senior Pastor of Daystar Christian Center Sam Adeyemi has been ever vocal since the beginning of the protest. Cheering the youths on and also pleading with the government to give a listening ear.
Pastor Sam Adeyemi, in the wake of the protest said that it will continue till there are remarkable changes in the system. Further into this week, the man of God took it beyond police brutality to a complete overhaul of the political system. He is of the opinion that the #EndSars protest cut across the fault lines that divide Nigeria.

On Tuesday, Gospel music ministers such as Sammie Okposo, Tim Godfrey, Frank Edwards and Onos Ariyo also joined the protest at the Lekki Tollgate, Lagos. Sammie Okposo was invited to the center stage were he led worship and prophesied over the nations and the protesting youths, in the company of Onos Ariyo.
Sensational urban Gospel music minister Ada Ehi has also been very vocal about the protest too. All her recent posts and tweets has been dedicated to the movement with encouragements and declarations. Same goes for the minstrel Nathaniel Bassey.
In a very strong message on social media, General overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor EA Adeboye said:
“Our daughters will not be able to prophesy and young men will not see visions if we don’t keep them alive.”

The protest is still ongoing and gaining more grounds as more prominent personalities lend their voice to once and for all end police brutality and push for better governance in the nation.
Despite all the opposition faced by the peaceful protesters all over Nigeria, they have shown resilience, organizational skills and humane spirit.
