Following the unfortunate incident which took place in Nyanya, on the outskirts of Abuja, members of the society were urged to voluntarily donate blood for the victims of the bomb blast. Amongst those who responded to the call was British High Commissioner to Nigeria Dr. Andrew Peacock.
The British High Commissioner to Nigeria was captured at the National Blood Transfusion Centre, Wuse 3, Abuja where the victims of Nyanya bus blast were rushed to for Intensive care, donating blood as he, amongst others present to do same at the hospital, responded to the call for help in saving the victims who are believed can still pull through from the incident.
