Nigerian singer turned pastor, Banky W joins the growing list of Federal government critics over the plan to reopen the Lekki Toll Gate.
The toll gate gained notoriety during the 2020 EndSARS protesters massacre that claimed the life of over 30 protesters and has since remained toll free.
Banky W has said that the intended resumption of collection of tolls at the Lekki toll gate, shows lack of empathy by the Lagos State Government.

The multi-award winning speaker also stressed how bad the timing of the decision is, He also said that the Lagos State government is exhibiting a blatant disregard, for the pain felt by all the young people who were hurt by the events of #EndSARS
Taking to his social media page, he said; “The intended resumption of collections at the Lekki toll gate is yet another example of a serious lack of empathy by the Lagos State Govt. Life in Nigeria has been extremely difficult. All things being considered, the timing of this decision is just unfair.
