Emeka Thiunder debuts on SelahAfrik with the video for one of his single titled “No Try Jehovah.” Emeka releases this song to his fans and for the entire country stating the place of confidence in God at the crucial time in the nation.Emeka Thunder is an Europe based gospel artist, music producer, film actor, model and choir/ band director. He is a PGD certificate holder in mass communication from the University Of Lagos Nigeria, as well as a Bachelor of arts degree holder in Creative Arts from Unilag Nigeria. He was born and raised in Onitsha, Nigeria, and later moved to Lagos, Nigeria.
Emeka Thunder got his first major break nationally as an actor when he bagged the lead role in a sensational epic TV series that lasted on Nigerian TV for about 2 years titled “Royal Tears”, where he played the character “Ogaga”.
He was influenced by a lot of great musicians in Nigeria, such as Panam Percy Paul and Buchi, and also international gospel artists such as, Tye Tribett and Kirk Franklin. He was the Praise worship leader and music director at The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM) international airport road lagos, Nigeria. Passion For Souls Ministries (PSM) Fadeyi, Lagos, Nigeria and Head of Productions at Christian Pentecostal Mission intl. headquarters lagos , before he left Nigeria.
Some of Emeka’s released albums include THE FATHER’S SOUL, CHUKWU, U GAVE ME, SE U HEAR? OKU MUONSO and PRAISE THUNDER. Recently, Emeka made a video exposing the ravaging activities of militants and terrorist groups in Nigeria like Boko Haram, and the failures of a weak government that is both incapacitated and confused. He titled the video “No Try Jehovah”.
He is currently promoting his latest album that is making waves all around the world, titled “HEAVEN”
Emeka Thunder has worked with many artists such as the group Infinity, Soji Isreal , Paul Nwokocha, Righteousman, Oge Mercy Ezekiel and more In 2010 he won Best Gospel Video of the year with the Song “OKU MUONSO”.
