Billboard continues to make its distinction between Gospel and Christian music, as it releases 2 categories for the genre divided into 3 awards each, in its 2016 nominations for the Billboard Awards. The award is set to hold on the 22nd of May at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Nominated in the Christian artist category include Casting Crown, Lauren Daigle, Hillsong United and more while Anthony Brown, Tasha Cobbs, Kirk Franklin and more were nominated in the Top Gospel Artiste category.
