Following a near-perfect rendition of Asa’s Beautiful, Olawale Ojo has emerged winner of the 6th edition of MTN’s Poject Fame West Africa, besting 5 other finalists, but do you know that it was “Eji Owuro” singer Sola Allyson’s “Yes” at the audition stages that qualified him for the reality show and made him the eventual winner.
Sola Allyson was one of the SouthWest Regional judges at the auditions, which consist of Ibadan & Ilorin alongside award winning Radio Presenter/MC Tony Rowland Awobode (Don T) and Adedamola Tinubu.
Sola Allyson whose music carries alot of philosophical and religious theme shot into limelight in 2003 when she released her debut album, “EJI OWURO” and since then she became a brand sought after in the music industry. So far, she has four (4) albums to her credit which are EJI OWURO [2003], GBEJE F’ORI [2005], [IRE] 2007. She released IM’OORE recently, produced by Cobhams Asuquo and Tolu Fafowora. She recently relocated to Lagos from Ibadan.
Olawale was handed a cheque of N5m, a brand new car with a recording contract. Immaculate was named first runner-up, winning a cash prize of N3m and a car.
Margaret comes 3rd with N2m and a car, Niniola in the fourth position with N2m. Omolayo was fifth with N1m and in the sixth position was Roland with N500,000.
Olawale becomes the sixth winner of the popular TV show.
