If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.” – Proverbs 24:10
At times you just want to pack it all up, you want to give up and give in on that dream. You want to let go for once, you have been holding on for too long and you can’t see any sign that it is going to work out.
The Israelites must have felt this way too while they were in the wilderness. God had promised to bring them out to a fertile land but there they were in the wilderness for forty years. They would have spent lesser time in the wilderness but they could not trust God so they rebelled. They gave up.
God does not like distrust, just like you don’t like it either. If I express any doubt in your character as a believer, you will get offended because it means I question your salvation and the God that justified you, so also when we doubt God, we question His authority and really, if you don’t like it, neither does He.
When you are going through tough times, it’s too easy to give in, everyone can do that but you are not everyone. The very life of Christ is in you. That life is that power that overcomes. You will not see it if you are focus on all the happenings around but if you stay on His word, it will refill you everytime the tank is near empty.
I know it sounds so cliche and you have probably heard it one too many times but do you know there are some things you will not have learnt any other way except through pain.
You have to let God have is way. Pick up lessons as you go through and stand firm on God’s promises. Insist on what God has said and confess it till when you are cut, you’ll bleed scriptures! Never let your circumstances shape what you take in and what you put out.
Hmmmm word,Lord pls strengthen us the more…
