Bible News: Never Doubt In Dark What God Said In Light

 I kept on believing, even when I said,
“I am completely crushed,” – Psalm 116:10

No matter what we go through and situation that confronts us, God is good.

Few weeks back, someone came to talk to me for encouragement she had lost a lot and was in despair, I couldn’t imagine what she was going through but in the face of all she was going through, she told me, ‘can you tell me what God’s saying about this?’

Her confidence in God encouraged me because there was nothing I could or wanted to say to her that could have made her feel better. I wasn’t going to say anything but her confidence in God in the midst of what she was going through just brought out God’s words in an overwhelming measure.

Whatever the case may be, focus on who God is – his unchanging nature. Regardless of circumstances and how you feel, hang on to God’s unchanging character. Remind yourself what you know to be eternally true about God: he is good, he loves you, he is with you, he knows what you’re going through, he cares, and he has a good plan for your life. Raymond Edman said, “Never doubt in the dark what God told you in the light.”

Trust God to keep his promises. During times of spiritual dryness you must patiently rely on the promises of God, not your emotions, and realize that he is taking you to a deeper level of maturity.
