The movie whose screening was targeted at fostering a peaceful election “Selma” premiered at House on the Rock” this past Sunday, the 8th of February 2015.
Amongst those present at the Nigeria premiere of the movie include Omoni Oboli, Toke Makinwa Ayida, Jimi Agbaje, Joseph Benjamin, Olu Jacobs and Joke Silva, the Nigerian born actors, David Oyelowo and Carmen Ejogo who were the main cast of the movie.
The movie, chronicles the true life story of Martin Luther King jnr, having its roots in the themes of struggle against racism an inequality. It starred British-born Nigerian actor, David Oyelewo.
One of the highlights of the movie is the depiction of peace protest and the violent police & bystanders.
