But they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” – Isaiah 40:31
As the plane took off and we started reaching for the sky. I saw houses like matchbox beneath and layers of clouds above.
We broke through the first layer and I thought we were high enough but then, there laid another layer above and the plane broke through that one too.
As we broke through the clouds, sometimes the plane will go through moments of turbulence but the pilots know just how to steady it and our flight continued safely although the shaking brought moments of trepidation for some.
At some point, I could see layers of clouds beneath and I thought we were high enough but there was still layers above too and according to the pilot, we are still going higher.
This got me thinking about how high God wants to get us through the life of Jesus. The trip is inevitable and the height determines our growth. Going high means there will be moments of turbulence but if God is the one flying your plane, be rest assured He will always keep you safe.
Though [we fly] through the valley of the shadow of death, [we] fear no evil, for God is with [us]…” Psalm 23:4
