When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.” – Matthew 2:9
Just a thought…
How do you think the wise men felt when they got to the palace and didn’t find the new born King there? After all, a king should be born in a palace, or at least one of the best hospitals…
The star only reappeared when they left the palace… And led them to the stable where the New born King was. (Matt 2:9)
Stop chasing the spectacular, follow the prompting.
Funny enough, if Jesus was born in the palace, it would have been the normal circumstance – for a king to be born in a palace – but the God who uses the foolish things of the world to confound the wise (1Cor 1:27) gave the the ‘wise men’ such a spectacular mystery in that the Saviour of the whole world – the God who came in the form of man – was given such a humble birth.
God’s got a great sense of humour… Happy new year in advance SelahAfrikans!
