“And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God.”

— Ephesians 3:19 KJV

There is a kind of prayer God always answers.  It is that which is close to His heart.  It is that which seeks His own will. It is that which is His desire.

The Bible says that we ask and we do not receive because we ask to consume it on our lust. There are times when we pray for what we think we want but God knows what we need, therefore,  He can delay an answer at times,  He may say hold on, not now, or No,  I have something better for you. However there are times when the motive is right and the Father who knows what we need in the abundance of His mercies grant our request.

But there is a prayer that always receive an answer from God.  It is never denied.  Paul knew this too well and throughout his ministry,  he prayed this prayer for himself and for others.  It is the prayer to know God more.  To have more of the knowledge of God.  To have His salvation and to move from salvation to greater revelation.

God always answers this prayer because it is at the core of His desire for us.  When He was taking Jesus away from the earth,  He did not want to leave us without His company anymore, so He gave us the Holy Spirit and commissioned Him to teach us all things in the knowledge of Him.  So you see it is important to God that we come into a more familiar relationship with Him.

If we can come to a greater revelation of God – His fullness, as Paul described it,  then we can proceed to be abundantly supplied in the areas of our needs according to His will and the power that works within us.

The mistake People make is they put these ephemeral needs before God and because of God’s mercies,  he will grant us our request out of His permissive will at times but as soon as that happens,  some of us run away from his presence. This is not God’s will for us.  His desire is that we come to know Him more and He uses our challenges to draw our attention but when we keep running back to our old ways after a little breakthrough,  how can we come to His fullness or begin to comprehend His love?

Hey there,  today,  God is using that very challenge you are facing to draw you to Him.  Yield and harken to Him. Switch the focus from you and all that you think you are going through and put your focus on God because if you can get God good,  you can get everything you need!
