Sfiso Ncwane dies
Award winning South African Gospel singer Sfiso Ncwane has passed on, Monday morning.
According to a spokesperson for the family, Sfiso Ncwane was rushed to hospital on Sunday night.
The gospel star died less than 24 hours later.
“His family [is travelling] from KwaZulu-Natal to Joburg at the moment. Everyone is in shock,” Makhabane said.
Ncwane has released some great songs that have made history including the award winning “Kulungile Baba”, Phakama Nkosi yezulu. His recent album “Bayede Baba” also did major numbers. He won record of the year at the 2013 South African Music Awards.
He featured on SelahAfrik‘s Upclose, where he talked about his 2013 album of the year award in the MTN SAMA awards, amongs other things. He made headlines last year after he bought his pastor a R1.9 million Mercedes-Benz.
Reports of the singer’s death hit social media after Twitter user Mmatona Ntuane broke the news. Her social media profiles say she works for the KwaZulu-Natal department of health.
