After a brief meeting with the president of United State Of America Donald Trump on Monday, Evangelical pastors lay hands & prayed for the president with Vice President Mike Pence & Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner in attendance as well.
In the meeting which was hosted by the Office of Public Liaison, the evangelical pastors met with President Trump and administration officials in the Oval Office. The event was witness and captured by president of the Kairos Company, Johnnie Moore.
About 30 leaders received invitations to the White House around a week and a half ago and included many of Trump’s faith advisory council from his campaign, including Florida megachurch pastor Paula White, South Carolina megachurch pastor Mark Burns, former Republican representative Michele Bachmann and Southern Baptist pastors Jack Graham, Ronnie Floyd and Robert Jeffress.
“Various ones of us have prayed with him many times and have been praying for him for a long time… We believe we are a praying nation, and we begin by praying for our leaders,” Johnnie Moore stated.
“As you know, most evangelicals believe it’s a sacred responsibility to pray for the president, and this is very much in our tradition as Americans who once took — and sometimes still do take — this responsibility seriously.”
He also hinted on the prayer point by saying: “When we are praying for President Trump we are praying within the context of a real relationship, of true friendship.”
