Rhyme & Reason Kicks Off Spoken Word Academy – SWAY

The ‘Rhyme and Reason Company’ is a youth focused organization with a goal of deliberately creating wholesome content and opportunities for youths development and expression, especially in the Arts.

Over the past three years, with a focus on Spoken Word, Poetry and Rap Music, Rhyme and Reason has successfully hosted three first-of-their kind concert events featuring local and international artistes, to the appreciation of thousands of youths with the most recent being Eversion which was a Spoken Word and Rap infused Musical presentation. It held on July 15th 2017 at The Lekki Coliseum.

The art of Spoken Word is a fast growing one in Nigeria and it seems to be gathering much attention through it’s diversity and ability to permeate beyond religious, cultural and even psychological bias. Hence, Rhyme and Reason has deemed it fit to kick start the first spoken word academy in Nigeria named SWAY (Spoken Word Academy for Youths).

For Ten Thousand (N10,000) Naira you get to:

1. Learn the concept of imageries, punchlines, wordplays, etc

2. How to use body language to enhance your performance

3. The art of public speaking

4. And many more.
