The list for the 100 Most Influential Young Africans for 2018, by Africa Youth Awards is out!
The list cut across personalities from 26 African countries with Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana and Tanzania taking the lead with 20, 17, 12 and 8 representatives respectively.
Nigerian Gospel singer, headhoncho of RockTown Records, Frank Edwards also made the list.
The list features politicians, activists, entrepreneurs, entertainers, digital influencers, philanthropists & athletes across 10 distinct categories who are blazing various trails and promoting the positive image of Africa across the globe.
Speaking about the publication, Prince Akpah, founding President of Africa Youth Awards, said that the current list features a record 90 new entrants and 43 females.
According to him, this year’s honourees were listed for their individual and collective contributions towards positioning the image of Africa as frontrunners in their respective fields. He also urged other young Africans to emulate the footstep of the listed individuals and join them to make Africa a better and safer place for young dreamers.
Notable among the 2018 honourees are Uganda’s Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu (Bobi Wine) , Togo’s Farida Bemba Nabourema, Egypt’s Mohammed Salah, Nigeria’s Kenny Blaq, Davido, Falz and Tomi Adeyemi Idaminab, South Africa’s Cassper Nyovest andTanzania’s Ali Kiba.
