New worship single by Afropop artiste Chidinma Ekile HOLY drops to amazing reviews!

Nigerian Afropop singer Chidinma Ekile is exploring new grounds as she ventures into the Christian/Gospel music genre. Chidinma who has been a little low key on the music radar while pouring more zeal towards her foundation, returns with a Frank Edwards inspired collaboration.

The question beckons – is Ms. Kedike crossing over to Gospel music? It does not look like it at the moment. Chidinma has always, saliently profess her faith without any holds bar, but has recently amplified the tone with the release of the worship single “Holy,” produced by Frank Edwards.

“I remember when I discussed with @frankrichboy about recording a worship song, we literally didn’t know where to start but all he said to me was ‘relax God will give us a song’ , we shared, he started to play the keys and we began to worship! Immediately he said just hold let me record this worship straight up !! And this song was birthed. I love God and this is me just expressing my love to Him. Thank you @frankrichboy, Chidinma said.

The single carries a solemn ambiance and conjures adulation to God. A simple studio set video accompanies the single and expresses the reverence for God’s presence and holiness which the song portrays.

Chidinma Ekile has always been in the choir since the age of 10 but rose to fame after she won the 3rd edition of MTN Project Fame West Africa in 2010.

Reports said she quit her church choir in 2014 but in an interview, Chidinma refuted the claim saying she is still very much involved in her church and her service unto God.

“I have not deviated from the doctrines of my church and my music cannot take church service from me… the church has no problem with my career as an artiste at the same time, singing in the choir,” she responded.
