Movieguide and other Christian bodies have signed petition against Michael Jackson‘s daughter, Paris Jackson, over Jesus role in a yet to be released movie.

The pop star daughter is set to play Jesus in the film “Habit” which portrays Christ as a lesbian who involves herself in a series of carnal acts with another woman.  Following the news, Movieguide, a non-profit ministry dedicated to restoring Christian values within the entertainment industry is leading an effort to prevent the release of a film that disgraces Jesus Christ.

The movie centers around a party girl with a Jesus fetish who gets mixed up in a violent drug deal and finds a possible way out by masquerading as a nun.Jackson’s physical portrayal of Jesus also features a nose ring, tousled waves and a traditional robe.

So far there have not been a set release date for the movie which is partially due to the absence of distributors for the promotion of the movie,  a petition has since been made in order to stop the film’s release by Movieguide as they believe availability of such movies could lead to confusion and mislead the minds of the younger generation

The entertainment monitor is urging Christians to sign a petition opposing the film and its blasphemous representation of the Son of God. So far, the ministry has received over 100,000 signatures.

“Hollywood is back at it again!” the petition starts. “This time they’re attacking the historical and Biblical portrayal of Jesus Christ. We need your help to stop it, Help us prove that this Movie is unacceptable to believers around the country and the globe,” it concluded

Another petition calling for the film’s cancellation was created by One Million Moms, an extension of Christian fundamentalist group American Family Association. They argued that the production and release of such movie is a blasphemous act while also noting that the backing of the film deliberately insults “the faith of millions of Christians.”

“This is a repulsive display of corporate arrogance and complete contempt for the faith of Christians, You are denigrating Jesus. As a result of your actions, I’m letting you know that I do not plan to watch any of your films now nor in the future. I strongly urge you to immediately cancel all plans to release the movie Habit.” the petition reads
