– Mocking Arome Osayi Is Unacceptable – Femi Lazarus Warns VDM

Pastor Femi Lazarus, founder of Light Nation Church, has condemned social media personality VeryDarkMan (VDM). Saying mocking Apostle Arome Osayi is unacceptable.

The controversy erupted after Arome’s recent sermon about Nigeria’s spiritual calling sparked debate online. While criticizing the preacher’s position, VDM also mimicked Arome’s facial palsy in a video, drawing backlash from several Christian leaders.

Reacting to the development, Lazarus acknowledged that Christians may disagree with ministers and that preachers are not always right. However, he stressed that disagreements should be handled with respect.

“We will not always agree. Preachers won’t always be right. Context matters, and we must learn to extend grace always,” Lazarus said.

He described Arome as “a gift to the body” and maintained that the attack and mockery directed at him were unacceptable.

Lazarus further urged Christians to maintain ethical boundaries when addressing disagreements, saying, “We can disagree honourably.”

His comments come as the debate over Arome’s message continues to generate reactions from Christian leaders, social commentators and Nigerians online, with the discussion increasingly focusing not only on the substance of the preacher’s message but also on how criticism should be expressed.
