– Michael Orokpo Calls Out VDM On Mocking Arome Osayi’s Face
Apostle Michael Orokpo has criticised social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), over his recent remarks about Apostle Arome Osayi’s facial palsy.
Speaking during a church service, the cleric condemned VDM for allegedly mocking Arome’s physical condition while also attempting to advise Nigerians on how they should live.
He questioned the ethical basis for such comments, describing the mockery of someone’s physical condition as inappropriate.
The controversy follows VDM’s criticism of Arome’s teaching that Nigeria has a spiritual calling centred on revival and prayer. While challenging the message, VDM also made comments about Arome’s facial palsy, prompting backlash from several Christian leaders.
Orokpo said VDM had been given influence to speak for vulnerable people but warned against using that influence to ridicule others or dismiss what Christians regard as spiritual teachings.

The Apostle’s intervention adds to growing reactions from Christian leaders, including other ministers who have called for disagreements with Arome to be expressed without mocking his physical condition.
