Newly engaged Kierra Sheard recounts past toxic relationship
Gospel singer Kierra Sheard announced her engagement to Jordan Kelly on Instagram last month. She has also opened up about a past relationship that she said once drove her into a violent rage.
Kierra Sheard was once engaged to Detroit Pastor Welton Smith IV. She consequently used the past experience with him to share the lessons she’s learned about love.
Announcing her engagement on Instagram, she captioned a photo of the two of them while flashing her new ring.

Kierra Sheard shared her past “toxic” relationship with PageSix.
“I kept being cheated on, and I think I was most affected because I was so intimately involved. I was giving so much to a boyfriend expecting him to be as loyal to me as I was to him,” she said.
Kierra described Jordan Kelly as an answer to prayer and said he makes her happier than her best dreams.
Last month, Kierra Sheard joined her mother Karen Clark Sheard, for a spirited performance of “Something Has to Break.” This was at the BET Awards which was streamed due to the pandemic.
