Nigerian-American actress and comedian, Yvonne Orji who is widely known for her role on HBO series “Insecure” gives indept explanation on what her soon to be released book “Bamboozled By Jesus” is all about on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

The 37years old movie superstar who is never known to shy away from her Christian background takes readers on Orji’s journey from a bullied immigrant school girl to developing a TV series based on her life that will be co-produced by Oprah Winfrey. Interspersed throughout the book are musings about God and how He has a plan for all of us.

She also offered Jimmy Kimmel Nigerian Jollof before the show kicked off. He attested to it as being “one of the most delicious things he has ever tasted.” He also said it was a little spicy though.

“Molly” has she is widely known based off her character on “Insecure” also revealed how personal the soon to be released book is to her and how it would give clear insights into her life that ranged from her Christian faith to her humble background and having to still keep herself for marriage.

Orji says that as the daughter of Nigerian immigrants, her life was meticulously mapped out — prestigious college, well-paying job, marriage and children at the “right” age. But she says that God had a different plan for her — as a standup comic.

The three times NAACP Image Awards nominee also revealed that “Insecure” would end after its upcoming fifth season almost 6 years after the pilot episode was launched much to the dismay of her fans.
