– Court Appoints Evelyn Joshua As New Trustee of Synagogue Church
The wife of Prophet TB Joshua, late Nigerian preacher and founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Evelyn Joshua, has finally been declared as a trustee of SCOAN in line with the church’s Constitution.
The wife of the late man of God, Evelyn Joshua was officially announced as a trustee of SCOAN by the Federal High Court in Lagos, in accordance to the church Constitution which prescribes a minimum of three trustees for the church.
The move was deemed necessary due to petitions signed by some members of the church leadership where they urged the court to appoint the widow of the founder of the church as a member of the trustees, arguing that the two surviving members of the Board of Trustees lacked the legal capacity to make decisions necessary to move the church forward.
In part from the statement released by the church’s leadership represented by, Mr Kola Kareem and Mrs Moji Oguntoyinbo, they said; “In the circumstances, it became imperative for an additional trustee to be appointed to fill the vacancy created by the untimely death of the deceased founder,”
In a ruling chaired by Justice Tijjani Ringim, the decision was granted due to no objection from the respondents.
Court appoints Evelyn Joshua the new head of the church, The statement also said that the church “has been in a limbo since the passing of the man of God, Senior Prophet TB Joshua over the leadership succession in the church.”
