-Joel Osteen’s Mother Passes Away At 91 Due To Natural Causes
Dodie Osteen, the beloved mother of Joel Osteen and co-founder of Lakewood Church, has passed away at the age of 91.
According to her son, Joel Osteen, Dodie died peacefully at her home due to natural causes.
Dodie Osteen, affectionately known as “Mama Dodie” to the Lakewood Church family, co-founded the church with her late husband John Osteen in 1959.
Under their leadership, the church grew into one of the largest in the US, with a weekly attendance of over 45,000.
Joel Osteen, sharing the news via his Instagram page, he shared;

“It is with a heavy heart that Victoria and I, along with our family, announce the passing of our cherished mother and grandmother, Dolores “Dodie” Osteen.
“She was the beloved matriarch of Lakewood Church, an inspiration to millions of people around the world, and a faithful servant of God.

Dodie was a devoted servant of God, authoring several books, including Healed of Cancer, which chronicles her miraculous recovery from liver cancer in 1981.
