Nigerian-born, Bradford-based singing pharmacist Emem Archibong returns with a powerful new single titled “Promise,” a timely Easter-themed release that reflects on the finished work of Christ and the gift of redemption.
At its heart, “Promise” tells the story of the cross—God’s ultimate expression of love in sending His Son to Calvary so that humanity might be forgiven, restored, and brought into a living relationship with Him. The song gently reminds listeners that while the Christian journey may not always be easy, it is sustained by divine strength, guidance, and peace.
Written and arranged by Emem Archibong in collaboration with London-based producer Luke Grant, the track blends uplifting rhythms with deeply reflective lyrics. Its bridge draws richly from Scripture, echoing themes of cleansing through His blood, healing by His stripes, renewal by His Spirit, and redemption through the power of the cross.
Released in alignment with the Easter season, Emem shares, “The true meaning of Easter is found at the foot of the cross, where His blood shed builds a bridge between humans on earth and God in heaven.”
