– Solomon Buchi Condemns Prayer Clip Of Jerry Eze & Alex Ekubo
Nigerian writer and media personality Solomon Buchi has condemned what he described as the “malicious use” of an old prayer video involving Pastor Jerry Eze and late Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo following the actor’s reported death.
The controversy began after an old clip resurfaced online showing Pastor Jerry Eze praying fervently for Alexx Ekubo during a public gathering.
The video quickly went viral across X, Instagram, and blogs, with some critics questioning why the actor later died despite receiving prayers from the popular cleric.

Reacting via Instagram, Solomon Buchi criticized social media users for weaponizing the clip to mock Christian faith and Pastor Jerry Eze. According to Buchi, reposting the video in a negative context was unfair and insensitive, especially during a period of mourning.
The writer reportedly argued that prayer should not be reduced to internet debates or used as material for attacking religious leaders.
He also emphasized that death and healing remain deeply spiritual and complex issues that should be approached with empathy rather than ridicule.
