– Enoch Adeboye Defends President Tinubu Over Insecurity
Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has defended President Bola Tinubu against criticism over Nigeria’s worsening insecurity, saying the President has fulfilled his constitutional responsibility by directing the nation’s security agencies to tackle the problem.
Speaking during the US–Nigeria Faith Heroes Award Gala organised by the Save Nigeria Group in Washington, D.C., Adeboye said it was unfair to expect the Commander-in-Chief to personally lead military operations once he had issued directives to the armed forces.
“I don’t support those who are accusing the President of not doing enough. When the Commander-in-Chief has given instructions to his subordinates, he has done his bit. You don’t expect him to put on khaki and fight,” Enoch Adeboye said as he defends President Tinubu.

While defending the President’s role, Adeboye acknowledged that insecurity remains a major concern, noting that terrorism, banditry and kidnapping have continued to spread across different parts of the country.
He stressed the need for security agencies to effectively carry out the directives given to them and urged stronger efforts to identify and prosecute those financing terrorist activities.
